BOARDING

I know how hard it is to leave your dog alone, sometimes even just for a couple of hours. I hope that knowing your pets are in good hands can at least give some peace of mind while you are busy, at work, or away on vacation. At Lakeside Pet Lounge, all pets are treated as if it is their vacation too. We will assess their behavior to see if they are in the mood to play or just cuddle with a staff member in the office. The suites act as a relaxing place to unwind, while the yards are for exercise and play. At your discretion, boarding pets are included in play time & enrichment festivities.

HOURS & RATES (All services include NYS Sales Tax. Cash payments receive a 3% discount, but not on sales tax). Boarding is 62$ per night for 1 dog by card. Additional dogs that can share a space overnight are 34$ per night by card, (per dog, per night). Dogs sleeping separately pay the base rate (per suite, kennel, or crate).

Boarding Check-In Hours: 9:00 A.M- 11:30 A.M, or 2:30 P.M - 5:00 P.M. Check-out is much faster, so you can pick up your pet between 7:30 A.M-12:00 P.M, or 2:30 P.M.-6:00 P.M (unless you have scheduled a grooming).

The nightly rate includes up to 11:00 am on the last day "hotel checkout time". There is a fee for checking in or checking out outside of our designated windows (listed above). Checkout after 6 P.M (closing time) counts as an additional night. Check-out after 11 am is $17 per dog, and after 3 pm is $28 per dog). 

Cat Boarding  $45 per night for 1 cat, and 22$ for each additional cat. We have a private guest bedroom for cat boarding in New Hampton. A more formal "cattery" will eventually be under construction.

Special Feeding (Cooked Food), Special Needs (Wheelchair or other disability), or Complex Medicating/Insulin Injections: $6-$12 additional, per day, per dog. Please call to discuss whether your pet's feeding/medicating instruction's may incur an additional fee.

How to prep your dog's food & medication for boarding: Please include feeding & medication instructions in the "Owner Notes" tab of your Paw Partner account. If food is simple- dry food (1+ cup twice daily), then it does not need to be pre-packaged. Food that has supplements or additives should be pre-packaged in small zip lock bags. Only label AM/PM if the portions/supplements are different. Do not put dates on bags unless necessary. Ideally, medications & supplements are in the bag. Write medication/supplements on the bag so we can ensure the pet has taken them. If for some reason the medication can not be pre-packaged, just let us know. To pre-package wet food, place the wet food at the bottom of the zip lock bag & the kibble on top (do not mix). This way, it will not become soggy. This is required for stays up to 1 week. Let the staff know that it must be refrigerated. For stays over 1 week, we will manually add the wet food according to your instructions.

The full number of nights reserved must be paid for in full, despite picking up early or dropping off a day later (if stay falls on a weekend or school holiday where we fully book). Please give 2 weeks notice for any changes in reservation dates to avoid the charge for the nights that were originally reserved, so that we can open the space for another pet. For new clients, a 50% deposit is required to secure the spot, at minimum 2 weeks prior to the boarding stay, typically collected during peak times. There is a 2 night minimum for any new client any day of the year, for any returning client on holidays, weekends following a holiday, and summer weekends (Memorial Day to Labor Day), unless the booking is last minute and we happen to have a cancelation or have the availability. We typically have more space for small dogs for last minute bookings, but for large dogs during peak times it is very rare to have an opening within 2 weeks of a holiday. Please understand that we are seasonal and rely on fully booking during these times to get through the slower months.
 
How to Make a Boarding Reservation?
For Simple Reservations (New Clients & Returning Clients): Booking is done via our online portal. You will receive a pending message that provides our detailed FAQ that we recommend reading. If you would like video updates during your pet's stay, you must download the app, "What's App". The day your pet arrives to the facility, you must send the first text on What's App with your pet's name & breed. The online portal, Paw Partner, is where you will make a client/pet profile, upload vaccine requirements, sign the liability waiver, and submit the boarding or daycare reservation. If you are struggling with Paw Partner, please give us a call. If your boarding stay falls within 24 hours, or if your days fall over a summer weekend/holiday, please text or call to check for availability. Upload a picture of your pet to your pet's profile and please include: emergency contacts, feeding, & medicating instructions in the "Owner Notes" section. Once you've completed these steps, give us ~24-48 hours to approve the reservation. Reservations that are months away will take longer to be approved (just call or text if you need some reassurance).

What is a Simple Reservation?
A simple reservation would be for a pet that we know will board without any complications (the pet has either boarded before or is young, outgoing, and adaptable to new environments). For aggressive dogs, call the owner to be sure we can accommodate your dates. If your pet has any behavioral concerns at all, (aggression or medical), if you are nervous about boarding, or if this is your first time trying to board your pet or enter your pet into daycare, please do not hesitate to call the owner. Please ring the doorbell before removing your dog from the car to make sure we are ready to take them in.

Requirements to be uploaded in Paw Partner
Dogs- Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, Negative Fecal/Giardia Test->Mandatory for pets under 1 year. We need at least 1 fecal on file, post "puppyhood". Thereafter, every 1-2 years is recommended, but not mandatory.
Cats- Rabies Only.
DAYCARE

Doggy daycare is a great option for those that want a dog to be a part of their family but may not have the time to give them the exercise that they need. Socialization with other dogs and people promotes overall happiness, reduces anxiety, and gives your pet a wonderful demeanor for years to come. Play groups will always be arranged based upon size, breed, age, activity level, and apparent body language that is shown the day that they enter the facility. The yard is securely fenced in and gives ample space for pets to run. Daycare is best for young pups, but some older dogs will benefit from daycare. We also take "SOLO" daycare dogs. They get intermittent outings to the large yards while the groups are in for their naps. Not every dog has to be a social butterfly! They still get to enjoy the amenities of the property.

RATES for Daycare (Trial/Assessment Day is considered daycare) 

We pay our sales tax on daycare & boarding! However, we offer a cash discount on daycare because we are too lazy to make change :) Daycare cash rates are 40$ for week days, or 45$ for weekends (weekends & holidays must be scheduled, based on availability only). Card rates are ~$45 for week days, or ~$50 for weekends.

*We are closed from 12:00 to 2:00 for lunch & nap time for all guests. They are in their own crate/kennel/suite with water dish & bedding*

We have some early drop off/late pick up options but we must meet the dog within our business hours first to see if they are a good fit. Not available on holiday peaks. Daycare hours are found on Google & bottom of website pages.

Please make sure your dog has a traditional collar on (no choke chain/prong collars). Harnesses are allowed if you feel that they will be comfortable keeping them on the whole day, if not, please switch to a regular collar.

How to get my dog enrolled in daycare?

Please text or call Lia at 718-795-8175 to schedule a tour or your pet's first day. The first day must be scheduled by call to ensure we have the time to dedicate to getting to know a new dog.

We now offer in-home pet sitting for dogs & cats! The owner occasionally has her nieces & nephews sleep in her very own home! home for cage-free, in-home boarding. Your pup could roam loose with her pup Luca, and we have a few (vetted) frequent flyers! He/she could either stay in the tranquil home for the majority of the day, enjoying the peace and quiet, or join the hang-outs & dog play sessions in the main building. After a day or running through acres of grass & splashing in the pond, why not spoil your pet and let them sleep with the owners? We can also take 1 cat or 1 family of cats in our guest bedroom. Daycare/meet & greet required for dogs prior. We must meet the dog a few times to ensure they mesh well with our pup & the other guests that stay in the house. It is $72.65 per night, per dog (card), or $70.28 per night, per dog (cash). $44.72 per night for 1 cat (card), or $43.25 per night for 1 cat (cash). [Includes sales tax].

GROOMING & OTHER SERVICES 


Basic grooming is available at your request (Includes bath, dry, & ears- nails can be requested for an additional fee). All grooming is an additional cost, just request basic grooming when you check in and ask the staff for a quote. The haircutter is typically booked 1-2 weeks out, so please call if you want a haircut at the end of your pet's boarding stay.

            

Staff determines price based on size & hair length/drying time: We can give you an estimate over the phone with your pet's breed, weight, & hair type.

We also offer: Anal Gland Expression, Eye Fur & Genital Fur Trim, Nail Trims, Nail Grinding, & Teeth Brushing.

The Professional grooming: clipping & scissoring. Available by appointment only in New Hampton. Our groomer is extremely busy, we can text you photos of her portfolio if requested. Text for more information or to schedule an appointment- 718-795-8175. The groomer does groom dogs if they are not at boarding/daycare, if our location is convenient for you.

TRAINING: We have a trainer that works 1:1 with your dog teaching basic obedience. Sit, stay, come, heel, place, leave-it , leash manners, etc. (or anything you request added to the list). Remember that training is highly dependent on you & other members of the household continuing training at home. Dogs need consistency. If you want to spoil your dog during their boarding stay, you can add on a 1:! training session. Our in-house trainer is $50 per hour long session. We have another trainer that we refer to for more stubborn cases, older dogs, or aggression issues (referred upon request).

 

OTHER
